Terms of Service
Effective July 4, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and College Climb when you use our website and services. By creating an account, you agree to them.
What College Climb is
College Climb is an AI-powered study tutor and college-planning platform: interactive tutoring sessions, college and trade-school matching, scholarship discovery, essay feedback, and related tools. It is a learning and planning aid — it is not a school, a licensed counselor, or a financial, legal, or admissions advisor.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to use College Climb. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information — matching and tutoring quality depend on it.
Subscriptions and billing
- The free tier includes limited tutoring and core browsing features.
- College Climb Pro is $19.99/month and starts with a 7-day free trial. Your card isn't charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then at no cost.
- Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings → Billing; you keep Pro access through the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change with advance notice — never mid-billing-cycle.
About AI-generated content
The tutor and other AI features generate responses with artificial intelligence. They are usually helpful and sometimes wrong. College match scores, scholarship listings, deadlines, and financial-aid information can be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm anything that matters — deadlines, requirements, costs, eligibility — with the school, scholarship provider, or your counselor before acting on it. College Climb does not guarantee admission to any institution or receipt of any scholarship or aid.
Academic honesty
College Climb is built to help you learn and to make your own work better — not to do your work for you. You are responsible for following your school's academic integrity rules, including how AI assistance may be used on assignments and application essays. Work you submit to schools or scholarship providers must be your own.
Acceptable use
- Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break security, scrape data, abuse rate limits, resell access, or use another student's account.
- Don't upload content that is illegal, infringes someone's rights, or contains other people's personal information without permission.
Your content
You own what you create and upload — your essays, files, and conversations. You give us the limited license needed to store and process that content to provide the service (including AI processing as described in our Privacy Policy). We don't claim ownership of your work.
Termination
You can stop using College Climb and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give you reasonable notice to export your content.
Disclaimers and limits
The legalese version is below — it means what you'd expect: AI makes mistakes, we're a small team, and we can't cover unlimited damages if something goes wrong. College Climb is provided "as is." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we'll update the date above and notify you in the app or by email; if you keep using College Climb after changes take effect, that counts as acceptance. If a change doesn't work for you, you can always cancel.
